Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action ~ 1John 3:18

Safe At Last

by Udo Strutynski

In memory of all the survivors of sexual abuse by clergy who took their lives.

Child of laughter, seeming wise,
Hold frauds took, by suprise,
Innocence from trusting eyes.

Child of sadness, seeming strong,
What reminds you of the wrong?
The road to healing stretches on...

Child, abandoned and maligned,
Death has taken, by design,
All its meaning from your mind.
